Hilton has announced the forthcoming debut of its luxury Waldorf Astoria and Conrad brands in two new destinations.
The group is to add a Waldorf Astoria property in the Japanese port city of Osaka, and a Conrad hotel in the Chinese city of Chongqing.
No details have been given about the properties or their openings dates at present, although renderings show the Conrad Chongqing as featuring a circular rooftop swimming pool.
The Waldorf Astoria hotel is the second property to be announced under the brand in Japan, joining the forthcoming Waldorf Astoria Tokyo Nihonbashi.
There are around a dozen Conrad hotels throughout China, including the Conrad Jiuzhaigou which is set to open before the end of the year.
Hilton recently signed a multi-hotel deal with Shimao Group Holdings Ltd to open four Chinese properties under its Conrad and Waldorf Astoria brands, including the 700-room Conrad Shanghai which will be the brand’s largest Asian hotel when it opens next year.
