六善酒店、度假村和水療中心將於2024年在日本首次亮相,並在京都擁有一家酒店。京都六善酒店位於妙法院和東京國神社前,步行即可到達祗園區。

Six Senses Hotels, Resorts and Spas is set to debut in Japan in 2024, with a property in Kyoto.

Six Senses Kyoto will be located in front of the Myoho-in temple and Tokyokuni-Jinja shrine, within walking distance of the Gion district.

The hotel has been designed by Blink Design Group, with “calming and welcoming” interiors that contrast simple lines with earthy organic tones and celebrate authentic Japanese traditions and décor.

“The hotel journey is designed to mirror the different energies of the city life, from the sensory stimulation and movement of the street to the stillness and calm of a Zen garden,” the hotel says.

The 81 rooms will be organised around a central courtyard, aiming to connect guests to nature through biophilic design.

Dining areas will include an all-day dining restaurant, a speciality sushi restaurant, a ‘Brew bar’ and a cocktail lounge bar.

The hotel’s spa will blend “traditional healing and Japanese Zen culture” and include tea ceremonies and signature treatments. The spa lounge will also have a shop selling fashion, homeware, skincare and lifestyle products.

Meanwhile, there will be meeting rooms with a fireplace and an Earth Lab – a space dedicated to exploring the environmental work being carried out on and off site.

The hotel will also host a variety of activities for kids, and have its own e-bikes which guests can borrow to explore the area.

CEO of Six Senses Neil Jacobs commented:

“We’re delighted to announce our entry into Japan’s cultural heart, Kyoto. Together with our partners, Tokyo-based Wealth Management, we’re tapping into Kyoto’s rich cultural significance and our brand ethos of sustainability and uplifting experiences to develop a premier wellness-focused destination. The food, impeccable and thoughtful service, gardens, lanes, architecture, and healing and bathing rituals create an exciting addition for us, and downtown location for guests to relax and reconnect. See you in 2024!”

Six Senses Hotels, Resorts and Spas manages 17 hotels and resorts and 26 spas in 20 countries. It was acquired by IHG Hotels and Resorts in 2019.
