IHG Hotels and Resorts has opened its latest Crowne Plaza property in the greater Atlanta area, with the addition of the Crowne Plaza Atlanta NE – Norcross.
The 244-room hotel is located around 20 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta, and around two miles from Atlanta Technology Park.
Business Traveller understands that it has previously traded as a Holiday Inn property, and more recently as the budget Garden Plaza Atlanta.
It’s not clear how much work has been carried out to bring the property up to Crowne Plaza standards, but it appears that renovations are ongoing, as the hotel’s website currently states that “Our swimming pool and conference centre are currently under construction and not available until January 2022”.
Facilities will eventually include an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, male and female steam rooms and saunas, Eighteen 70 restaurant and bar, and 9,400 square feet of meeting and events space.
IHG’s US headquarters is located in Dunwoody, north of downtown Atlanta, and the group lists over 50 hotels in the greater Atlanta area, including four Crowne Plaza properties.
