為了慶祝母親節(5月12日),家人訂了台北喜來登飯店「辰園」餐廳5月11日的晚餐一起吃飯,於是我就用現金價訂了該飯店當晚的住宿,讓媽媽餐後可以直接回房間休息,我訂的是基本豪華市景客房。這是我第三次入住台北喜來登大飯店,卻是第一次非工作出差的訂房。
Family planned to have dinner at the restaurant “The Dragon” of Sheraton Grand Taipei Hotel to celebrate Mother’s Day, so I made a reservation of one night stay at the hotel with cash to let me mum rest right after the dinner. I booked the room type of “Deluxe King Room, Guest room, 1 King, City view”. This was my third time staying at Sheraton Grand Taipei Hotel but my first time non-business stay.
身為萬豪白金會員,有事先email告知該次入住是為了慶祝母親節,飯店回覆因當日訂房很滿且最近很多白金以上會員訂房入住,無法保證可以升等至套房,但可以加價台幣3,700或使用套房券保證升等,也因為特殊節日,飯店會致贈一瓶紅酒和一盒巧克力。因為考量套房券用在這飯店不是很划算,於是就沒有使用。
As a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum member, I wrote an email to the hotel to explain about the purpose of my stay and request room update to suite room. The hotel replied that the hotel was almost fully booked and there were many Platinum and Titanium members, I could pay NT$3,700 or use Suite Night Award coupon to secure the suite room. However, I did not apply the Suite Night Award because I did not think it was worth. The hotel also said they would offer me a bottle of red wine and a box of chocolates as gifts for this special occasion.
入住前一天在萬豪手機APP看到房間已經被升等到首席大間市景客房,入住當天下午三點抵達飯店,被告知房間尚未準備好,於是我跟媽媽便在17樓的行政酒廊等候,大約等了20分鐘拿到房卡後,便到房間休息了。房間是在15樓的行政樓層,搭電梯時需要有房卡才能到達。
Marriott Bonvoy APP showed my room had been upgraded to “Premier King Room, Larger Guest room, 1 King, City view” one day before my stay. The room was not ready when I checked in around 3pm, so my mum and I waited at the Executive Lounge located on 17th floor. Twenty minutes later, we got the room key and then moved to the room located on 15th floor, which can be reached by lift only with room key.
房間跟床都很大,窗戶面向忠孝東路,整體空間非常舒適。
Both the room and the bed are very large. The space is quite comfortable.
浴室中規中矩,我個人覺得有點小,淋浴間的門很緊,要很大力拉才能打開,因為蓮蓬頭對著門,淋浴時水很容易溢到門外。
The bathroom is just standard. Personally I feel it is a bit small. The water easily leaks outside the shower room so the shower room door is made very tight.
進房時房間桌子已經有擺放一盤水果當作迎賓禮,而飯店人員在我們進房後十分鐘內即送來一瓶紅酒和一盒巧克力,非常感謝飯店的禮物。
The welcome amenity was a plate of fruits prepared in advance before we entered the room. About ten minutes later, a bottle of red win and a box of chocolates were delivered to my room. Thanks to the hotel for the gifts.
因為跟家人在餐廳用餐,我這次沒有使用行政酒廊的Happy Hour。因為白金和鈦金會員可以在行政酒廊使用早餐,於是迎賓禮我便選擇了1,000點數,酒廊的早餐也很豐富,對我們來說非常足夠。
Because my family had dinner at the restaurant, so I did not go to the Executive Lounge for happy hour. Bonvoy Platinum and Titanium members can have breakfast at the lounge. Hence, I chose welcome gift of 1,000 points instead of breakfast at the restaurant. The breakfast at the the lounge offered a lot of dishes and was sufficient for us.
退房當日是母親節,飯店贈送了康乃馨花束,非常漂亮。退房後兩日,點數入帳, 但少了迎賓禮1,000點,寫了兩次信給飯店後得到回覆說會補給我。
The day I checked out was Mother’s Day. The hotel gave my mum a very beautiful bouquet of carnation. The welcome gift of 1,000 points was not credited to my account after my checkout. After I sent the email to the hotel two times, I got a reply that they will credit the points to my accounts soon.
總體來說這次入住經驗很好,很高興台北喜來登大飯店依然維持高品質的服務,未來有機會我一定會再入住這家飯店。
Overall, I enjoyed my stay there. It is nice to see that Sheraton Grand Taipei Hotel still maintains its high quality of service. I definitely will consider to stay here again in the future.
