這間全新飯店在2019年3月11日正式開幕,由國泰集團投資建設,是台灣第二間萬怡酒店。也許是才剛開幕,飯店人員還在熟悉運作,就地點來說,「台北國泰萬怡酒店」很明顯是定位在商務飯店,房間和設施都很一般,沒有太多的驚喜感。
This brand new hotel officially opened on 11 March 2019, invested and owned by Cathay Financial Group. It is the second Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Taiwan. Perhaps it was newly opened, the hotel staff were not familiar with business operations. Courtyard Taipei Downtown is obviously a business hotel based on its location. The room and facilities are quite standard without much surprise to me.
挑高的大廳很氣派,服務人員非常親切,並會主動對看似外國人的房客以英語或日語問候。
The high ceiling lobby showed the splendor. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and automatically spoke English or Japanese to people who look like foreigners.
此次用現金預訂「雅緻客房」,登記入住時升等為在高樓層的「豪華客房」,基本上房型是一模一樣的。因為套房數量不多,因此飯店沒有給予升等到套房。
I used cash to book “Superior, Guest room, 1 King” and got room upgrade to “Deluxe, Guest room, 1 King”, which is exactly the same as Superior room but on a higher floor. Because this property has very limited suite rooms, I was not offered a suite this time.
房間的裝潢和色調感覺很舒服,但是空間有點狹小,尤其是沒有可供工作的書桌,這對自身定位為商務旅館的飯店來說,是蠻奇怪的設計。沙發躺起來算是舒服,有個桌子方便擺放東西。
The interior and color of the room gives comfortable feeling, but the space was a bit small. It is very strange that there is no working table in the room as this hotel is defined as a business hotel. The sofa is sort of comfortable with a convenient table nearby.
不知道是不是因為剛開幕,房間mini bar沒看到免費的咖啡或茶包,也沒有迎賓水果,即便我在入住前有寫信告知當日入住是有特別目的。
Not sure if it was because this hotel just opened, I could not find any coffee or tea in the mini bar. There was no welcome amenity either, even though I wrote an email in advance to explain my stay was for a special occasion.
浴室空間不大,但基本設備都有。
The bathroom is not large but has all the basic facilities.
房間基本上是舒服的,但價位明顯偏高,希望業主日後能設定較為合理的房價。
Basically the room is cozy, but the price is too high. Hopefully the property owner can set the room rate more reasonable.
白金以上會員和同住人可免費使用行政酒廊,酒廊空間雖大,但是可能因為新開幕,飲品跟水果食物種類不多,即使Happy Hour的菜色也很簡陋,顯得很寒酸。
Platinum and Titanium members can bring one guest to Executive Lounge for free. Though the lounge is spacious, the selections of fruits and drinks are very few, even during Happy Hour. It just looked shabby.
因為新開幕的原因,飯店讓白金以上會員免費到餐廳使用早餐,因此迎賓禮直接選擇500點數。早餐菜色其實選擇不多,口味普通,有待改進,而且人多使得服務生明顯不足。
Because the hotel just opened, Platinum and Titanium members were allowed to have breakfast at the restaurant instead of the lounge. I simply chose 500 points as the Platinum welcome gift. The buffet breakfast did not have many selections of dishes and tasted so so. The number of waiters was obviously not enough to handle all the guests.
退房後要搭車去機場,上車前看了一下收據,發現被額外收了一筆錢,飯店人員竟然沒有在結帳時特別提醒,問了之後才說是行政酒廊第三人的費用,我明明只有一個人使用,行政酒廊的服務人員竟然也沒有告知我就自行收取額外費用,真的不是很OK的服務。希望飯店員工能盡快步上軌道並提供更專業一點的服務。
Before I got on the car to the airport after I checked out, I noticed there was an additional charge in my bill. I went back to the reception and was told that the fee was for the extra person for the lounge. In fact, I was the only person using the lounge, and no one informed me before they charged this fee to my room. This was not OK at all. Hopefully the staff can quickly learn the business operations and provide professional service.
